Wellbeing Day

As part of Children's Mental Health Week, we’re looking forward to having an off-timetable ‘Wellbeing Day’ for our students on Thursday 4 February. It’s an opportunity to recharge our batteries and take some of the daily stresses away from what has been a challenging time for many.

With thanks to the Senior Students who helped put these ideas and resources together, here’s a guide to the day.

A Guide to Thursday’s Wellbeing Day

  1. Use this Wellbeing list to help you select which activities you would like to do. We suggest that you pick a variety of 5 different options but of course you can pick more or less, depending on the time each activity takes.

  2. Use our suggestions for recommended apps and links, posted below, to help you structure your activities and to hopefully offer some inspiration on what you would like to try out.

  3. Share your experiences on Thursday and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes by entering our fun competitions. Ways you can enter and get involved:

  • Send us a picture or short video clip of you doing your favourite activity with a brief explanation of what you are doing and why you enjoyed it so much. (Show us your culinary skills. Can you dress up as your favourite character from the book you are reading? How Zen can you be? What acts of kindness can you share? Get out and get active!)

  • Write a poem, paint a picture, sing a song or create the latest TikTok video that you’d like to share. (Show us your star quality)

  • Even better, create a video or picture diary of your whole day. (Give us an overview of how you spent your day)

  • Create an instagram story.

Send all entries to the Ryburn Sixth Facebook messenger.
Winners to be announced on Friday 12 February!
